I open up rpg maker XP and open up the "Game_RMXP1.05" file and when it's open in RPG half of the assets are purple. Please help

If you go to Tools -> Options you might be able to configure the transparency color.
If that changes the color you see in the editor, then you have no problem, you just need to learn how to map & how to use RPG Maker XP :)
